She was predeceased by: her husband Carl Schurgin; her brothers, Wilber, Irving, Simeon and Gerald Galex; and her parents, Leon Galex and Rose Galex.

She is survived by: her daughters, Arell Shapiro (Adam Efron) and Beth Nathan (Don); her grandchildren, Yerachmiel Shapiro (Helene), Jordana Shapiro, Caitlin Shapiro, Carl Cutler (Victoria), Eden Shapiro and Lee Cutler; and her great grandchildren, Lila Shapiro, Avi Shapiro, Yair Barkats, Zev Shapiro and Roey Shapiro.

Please omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be sent to Moses Montefiore Anshe Emunah Aitz Chaim Congregation.
