She was predeceased by: her husband Nicholas A. Gouvis. She is survived by: her children, Iona Brazas and Angelo Gouvis (Kirsten); her siblings, Themis Kourakis (Emanuel) and Daphne Soter; and her grandchildren, Madeline, Alexa Brazas, Peter and Christopher Gouvis.

In Lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Saint Paul's Orthodox Church in memory of Cynthia.
