With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Anita Lucille Cosby Thompson of Inglewood, California, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 7, 2024 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Ashton Cosby and Laura Marie Duffin; her daughter April Thompson; and her granddaughter Serena April Portzline. She is survived by: her husband Darrel Thompson; her siblings, Kathleen Mangum (Maynard), Michael Cosby (Jana) and Suzanne Jensen (Bill); and her children, Diana Portzline (Alan), Alison Parker (Curtis), David Thompson (Kim), Dwight Thompson (Elizabeth), Aaron Thompson (Rebecca), Shawn Thompson (Mandy) and Justin Thompson (Heidi). She is also survived by 30 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
