She was predeceased by: her parents, Danny DeCoito and Patty DeCoito (Johnson). She is survived by: her siblings, Lori Schumacher and Michael DeCoito; her nephew Forrest Tobiassen; her nieces, Sandra Schumacher and Skylene Tobiassen; her stepmother Connie DeCoito; and her siblings, Sher Hughes and Rob Trego.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the National Stem Cell Foundation.
