It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Ream Shafer (Imperial, California), who passed away on March 2, 2019, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Adeline Ream; his son Bill Shafer; his former wives, Betty Shafer Wells and Barbara Shafer; and his children, Libby Shafer of St. Helena, Doug Shafer (Annette) of St. Helena and Brad Shafer (Carrie) of San Francisco. He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
He also supported Wildlife Rescue Center of Napa County and was instrumental in Shafer Vineyard's donation of land that today houses a wildlife rehabilitation site.
