He was predeceased by: his son Bill Nicol IV. He is survived by: his wife Anne; his children, Marian Nicol, Jim Nicol and Patty Soares; and his grandchildren, Thad Nicol, Brian Fairhurst, Kris Fairhurst, Jamye Blackwood (Marc), Dionne Soares Palmer, Jake Soares and William Nicol.
