It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Ann Van Buskirk (Huntington Beach, California), born in Garden Grove, California, who passed away on February 16, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cesario Piñon and Felicitas Piñon (Sanchez); and her husband Ralphie. She is survived by: her children, Christine Sparks (Richard) of Loveland, CO, Craig Van Buskirk of Orange, CA and Jeffrey Van Buskirk (Kathleen) of Longmont, CO; her grandchildren, Jessica Morgan (Harold), Matt Young (Amber), Prescott Van Buskirk (Carolyn) and Kyle Van Buskirk (Kerri); and her siblings, Cesario Piñon Jr., Adeline Trujillo and Henrietta Pinon. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.

“I was Mary Ann's next door neighbor on Adrian Circle from 1970 to 1973. We kept in touch via Christmas Cards and the occasional phone call up until about 2017 or 18. I remember going on doggy walks, eating homemade cake and learning how to knit from Mary Ann. Mary Ann was a big influence in my life. We went on a great road trip to Ashland, OR to see some Shakespeare plays and she cried throughout Romeo and Juliette. Mary Ann was a warm, caring and generous LADY. RIP Mary Ann”
