He was predeceased by: his parents, Nora Smith Jones and Powell Clayton Jones; and his grandparents, Alice Vanderpool Smith, Willard Smith, Sarah Hefley Jones Brasel and James Monroe Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Janis Faye Olson Jones; his children, Karen, David (Michele), Jennifer and Eric; and his stepchildren, Sherry (Ron), Renee and Brian (Dryden). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many cousins.
