Jennifer Marie Lonchar Obituary
Jennifer Marie Lonchar, 43, passed away May 4, 2022, in Huntington Beach, California. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida on February 8, 1979. Her earliest years were spent in Jacksonville and Springfield, Virginia. However, she lived in Tallahassee, Florida, for most of her youth.
Jennifer earned an Associate of Science degree in Audio Engineering at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida, in 2001. A highlight of her audio engineering experience was her role as one of the engineers who recorded A Walt Disney Christmas Parade featuring Regis Philbin.
Jennifer had the life-long interests of music and film. She enjoyed her stint as an extra in HBO’s movie, Recount, which dramatized the disputed Bush-Gore election results in Florida. She played bass guitar with Love In Arms in Tallahassee—a punk-reggae band—with several videos posted online.
As a teenager, she modeled with Set V Academy. She was placed in Tallahassee Magazine and the Tallahassee Democrat newspaper.
Jennifer was a free spirit who lived life on her terms. She relocated to California in the last decade of her life. She loved Huntington Beach and her family of friends, including Dane and Rob. She was also grateful for her lifelong Florida friend, Kathryn Taylor Davis.
Survivors include her mother, Barbara Lonchar; brother, Thomas Lonchar, Jr.; half-siblings, David Lonchar (Susie Malkemus) and Vicki Lonchar; uncle, Joseph Siren; aunt, Betty Dewar (William); and cousins, Vincent and Joe Dewar. Jennifer was predeceased by her father, Thomas Lonchar, Sr.
A memorial celebrating Jennifer’s life will be held with family and close friends on May 25th at 4 p.m. on a Duffy Boat cruise from Newport Harbor Rentals, 400 Main Street, Newport Beach, California.
