“Dianne, I am so sorry to hear of Jay's passing. He called me in July and I had the feeling that he was telling me goodbye. It was great to talk to him one last time. He was such a fine person. I am so glad we got to spend the day with you & Jay and my wife and I at Art Center in 2016. It felt so wonderful to see that he had found love again after losing Sue so young. Charlotte and I were so happy to meet you and see what lovely person you are. I am so sad that you had such a short time together but at least you had some good time together. So often when I would come to LA over the years I would stay with Jay & Sue in Long Beach. He had the best t marriage I knew of and when Sue passed I wasn't sure he could find person to match her but he did in you. My heart goes out to you - Jay will always be in my mind as the perfect example of what a man can be. God bless you. Les Wollam”
