She was predeceased by: her parents, John Kunz and Agnes Kunz; her husband Janusz Rutkowski; her siblings, Thomas, Kasimir Kunz, Stella Kunz and Anne "Nuni" Israelski; and her nephews, Richard Rachwal, John Sczyrek and Dennis Kunz.

She is survived by: her daughters, Helena, Danuta Swanson (Dana) and Kika Cochran (Tom); her granddaughter Tiffany Drohan (Alec Sedlachek); her siblings, Emilia Bomwell and John Kunz (Colleen); her nieces and nephews, Krystyna Emilia, Barb Milstead, Lorrie Osborn, Stanley Sczyrek and Christopher Kunz; and her great-nephew Ethan Veitch.
