He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bernard Murphy, Sr. and Marion Mahoney; his wife Lillian Ann Capelli; his children, Kevin Murphy, Karen Hicks and Colleen Flynn; and his brother Larry Murphy. He was also cherished by his 6 grandchildren.
