He was predeceased by: his mother Lynne Ingram. He is survived by: his father Emmett Chase, Sr.; his wife Shaonna Chase; his son Rian Tracy; his stepparents, Eva Smith and Mark Ingram; and his siblings, Emmett Chase Jr. (Eleanor), May Peterson (Jason), Erika Tracy (Lawrence) and Sara Chase (Craig). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A private memorial service will be held for Joel at his family's cemetery where masks and social distancing will be required.
