He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Bussell Sherman; his granddaughter Cashkoa; his parents, Herman Sr. Sherman and Libby Abe Sherman; his siblings, Reginald Davis Sr., Arnold Davis (Jim) and Phyllis Orcutt; his siblings-in-law, Wilma Mattingly, Deanna Whitehurst, Clem "Mush" Bussell, Donald Dean, George Mattingly and Theresa Bussell; his nephews, Michael Rowe, Raymond Davis, Reginald Davis Jr., Ronnie Dean Davis, Jr. and Rick Davis; his niece Karen Taylor; and his siblings, Wilma Bell Scott, Elsie Gardner Ricklefs, Lula Gardner Hostler, Wilma Harding, Dorothy Smith, Mildred Nixon, Tug Davis, Jug Davis, Jack Scott, Frank Scott and Lula Gardner-Hostler.
He is survived by: his children, Jill Sherman-Warne (Jim), Duane Sherman Sr. (Kayla), Lesley Sherman-Hunt (Tim) and Sherman; his sister-in-law Ethel Davis Allen; his grandchildren, Troy Fletcher Jr., Cody Fletcher, Josh Sherman, Phylecia Sherman, Duane Sherman Jr., Tashone Rice, Briaunna Sherman, Tyler Hunt, John Yu and Jerry Yu; and his friend Helen.
