She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Theodore Marshall and Nettie Chapman Thaggard; her children, William Cody McGarity, Marshall Edmund McGarity, Charles Alan McGarity, Michael Laird McGarity (Lavinia) and Nancy McGarity Lawrence (Randall); her daughter-in-law Celia McGarity Cox (Phlip); her grandchildren, Michael McGarity, Mary Haley Plummer (Garrett), Kristen Milling (Chris), Hallie Weaver (Leighton), Caroline Lawrence, Britt McGarity (Amy), Blakely Oberneder (Matt) and Benjamin McGarity (Caroline); and her great grandchildren, Carter Plummer, Cece, Holland Milling, Charlotte and Reid Oberneder.
