She was predeceased by: her parents, D. D. Hardee and Isabelle Player Hardee; her husband Colvin Howard; and her niece Chloe Black. She is survived by: her niece Margie Thurston (Terry) of Highland Lake, AL; her nephew Jim Black of Highland Lake; and her cousins, Buddy Knott (Sherry), Deedy Knott, Donna Pratt and Marian Faulk.
