He is survived by: his fiancée Regina Hertzog; his children, Pamela Westphal Guizar and Richard H. Westphal III; his stepchildren, Robyn Nicole Bean, Brianna Suniga (Hertzog) and Thomas Barnhart Jr.; and his grandchildren, Isabelle, Chloe, Bailey Jo, Roanin, Raymond, Ryder, Renee and Rollie.
