He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonor Cortez and Jose Gonzalo Gomez; and his brother William Gomez. He is survived by: his wife Carolina Sahagun-Gomez; his children, Leonor Barboza Gomez (Emilio), Leanna Sainz (Hilario), Vanessa Juarez (Nathan), Adrian Sahagun, Julie Ann Guttirez and Richard Gutirrez; and his sister Ana Gomez (Harold). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, devoted friends.
