He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Alvarez; and his children, Sharon Galaz (Leandro), Chris Alvarez (Shannon) and Lisa Alvarez-Bravo (Jeff). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many other family members.
