With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James A. Barton (Hollister, California), born in Sioux City, Iowa, who passed away on October 14, 2018 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Barton and Edna Barton; his siblings, Jack Barton and Jacqueline Nelson-Taber; and his son Mark Anthony Barton.

He is survived by: his spouses, Sharon Maudene Simmons and Sharon Maudene Barton; his children, Jimmy Barton (Kimberly), Charles Barton (Lynn) and Michele Barton; his siblings, Bill Barton and Linda Lenior; and his sister-in-law Bob. He is also survived by son in law and grandson in law whom he still loved as family and treated as his own; and many many nephews and nieces.
