She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Espinoza and Estelle Espinoza; and her sister Rita Johnson. She is survived by: her husband Michael Contreras; her children, Tessa, Rick Romero, Cynthia Contreras, Mario Diaz and Damian Contreras; her grandchildren, Isaiah, Emily, Adrian, Ava and Laila; her goddaughter Jazmyn; and her siblings, Joel, Frank, David, John and Ophelia. She is also survived by spouses; brothers and sister-in-law; many nieces and nephews, and countless coworkers, neighbors, and friends.
Donna retired from Santa Cruz County in the Spring of 2020 but continued to serve her community through part-time employment as an essential worker at Target in Hollister during the COVID pandemic.
