With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Norma Jean Burns of Hinkley, California, born in Mountain Home, Arkansas, who passed away on June 16, 2020 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eural John Maynard and Sula Marie Wells; her stepfather Allen McGrew; her sisters, Agnes Sherrill and Mary Matson; her stepbrothers, Alton McGrew and Raymond McGrew; her daughter Sheryl Diane; her great grandchild Jason Lanie Burns; and her daughter Elizabeth Burns of Hinkley, CA.
She is survived by: her husband Floyd Burns; her children, Terry Burns (Susan) of Hinkley, CA and David Burns (Pearl) of Susanville, CA; and her grandchildren, Daniel Burns (Misty), Julie Burns, Russell Burns, Amanda Ackernecht (Matt), Hank Burns (Jamie) and Keeth Burns (Stephanie). She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean's name to Hinkley Bible Church or St. Jude's Hospital.
