She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Cadida De Castro and Jose Tomas Leal; her husband Jose Leal; her sons, Jose Alberto Leal and Eduardo Leal; and her siblings, Jose Leal, Maria Costa and Natalia Soares.

She is survived by: her daughters, Fernanda Soares (Alvin), Elisa Oliveira (Adalberto), Eduarda Ecker (Dale), Ana Leal and Grimaneza Leal; and her brother Alberto Leal. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
