It is with great sadness that we announce the death of José Placido Jr. of Hilmar, California, who passed away on January 10, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Maria Placido (Anjos Placido) and José Placido Sr.; and his brother-in-law Larry Costa. He is survived by: his wife Bernardette Silveira; his children, Michael Placido (Ana), Paul Placido and Veronica Moretto (Jack); his stepson Anthony Cunha; his siblings, Manuel Placido (Mary), Antonio Placido (Zelia), Maria Costa and Brazelina Pimentel (Antonio); and his grandchildren, Hayley Moretto, Nathan Placido, Andrew Placido, Hunter Moretto, Jackson Moretto, Josiah Moretto and Titus Moretto. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service (286 W Main St, Turlock, CA 95380). A rosary was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church (20263 American Ave, Hilmar, CA 95324).
