He is survived by: his wife Maria of Fátima Pires; his children, Adrian Pires (Liz) of Stevinson and Connie Lourenco (Joe) of Hilmar; his siblings, Angelo Pires of Terceira Açores and Paulina Melo of Terceira Açores; his grandchildren, Megan Sousa (Jonathon), Eric Lourenco, Andrew Pires and Conner Pires; his great grandchild Raelyn Sousa; and his sister-in-law Iracema Pires of Hilmar. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
