With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert L. Matthews of Highland, California, born in Vincennes, Indiana, who passed away on February 8, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Clyde Mathews and Cledith Donovan Mathews Zartman; his former wife Mary Jane Hoblit Mathews; his stepparents, Edythe Mathews and Lester Zartman; and his sister-in-law Sharifa Sally Cady.
He is survived by: his wife Amelia Yasinsky Mathews; his children, Cynthia Bean (William), Douglas (Catherine) of Apple Valley and Michael (Mathys) of San Diego; his grandchildren, Christopher Bean (Danielle), Meghan Jenkins (Trevor) and Courtney Bean; his children, Bowd Beal (Madison), Ashley, Cole and Alexa Mathews; and his brother-in-law John Adams of St. Petersburg. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
