He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank and Julia; and his siblings, Frank Jr., Bobbie and Rosemary Flynn.

He is survived by: his wife Angie Mercado; and his children, Jim Jr., Teri Lopez (Ruben), Mike (Jennifer), Cathy Hollifield (Rex) and Diane Rhoades (Rod). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
