It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles D. Smith of Highland, California, born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on July 7, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Smith; his daughter Tammy; his son-in-law Matt Howell; his son Terry; his daughter-in-law Wendy Smith; his grandsons, Jeff and Jake Howell; and his siblings, Sharon Kealy and Johnny Smith. He is also survived by his family and numerous friends.

“I'm already missing you and our silly game of wishing you and me Happy Birthdays first, sometimes as early as March each year!!!! I'll miss our long talks when you were driving all over Calif and Arizona. I know it was a great reunion in Heaven with Jesus, God and our relatives. Mom was pushing everyone to get to you first. It won't be long before Mary Ruth and I are there, too. Happy Birthday to my favorite cousin and little buddy...I love you!!!!”
