It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona M. Furton (Hesperia, California), born in Newberry, Michigan, who passed away on July 27, 2018, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Leslie Eddy, Emma Lindsey, Mildred Alport and Alva Eddy; and her daughters, Sharon Furton Yard and Nancy Furton.
She is survived by: her parent Mary Helen Obey Eddy; her sister Lorna Eddy Schrom of Maryland; her children, Edward Newberry, Susan Furton, Mary Furton Brackin Washington, Gloria Furton Lowman, Kathy Lowman and Laura Furton Durrant Rigby; her spouse Edward B.; and also Furton Newberry. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
