He was predeceased by: his parents, David Robert Benitez Sr. and Edith "Pinky" May Benitez [Pinkstaff]. He is survived by: his daughter Van; his stepdaughter Lan; his grandchildren, Kimberly and Sunny; and his siblings, Steve (Benita), Kenny and Debbie.

In lieu of flowers, a donation box for donations to the monk will be provided, should you wish to donate to his temple.
