He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Virgilio Canivel, Sr. and Paz Reyes Canivel; his wife Erlinda Canivel; his sons, Raymond Canivel and Henry Canivel; his siblings, Bella Canivel Dizon, Daisy Canivel, Victoria Canivel Gumboc, John Canivel, Emmanuel "Manny" Canivel, Marilou Canivel Roque, Deogracias "Dodie" Canivel and Efren Canivel; and also Junior. He was also cherished by other loving family members and friends.
