He is survived by: his wife Misako Yanagimoto; his sons, John and Dean Yanagimoto (Kristy); his grandsons, Shane and Kane Yanagimoto; his sister Kazumi Teramura; his sister-in-law Emiko Yanagimoto; and his nephew James Yanagimoto (Keiko). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
