He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Chartrand and Eva Chartrand of Troy, NY.; his brother Ernest "Bud" Chartrand (Adelaide); his brothers-in-law, Larry Proctor and Cliff Dunworth; and his grandson Dalton Chartrand.

He is survived by: his sisters, Bobbi Proctor (Larry) of Wyantskill, NY, Phyllis LaCross of Cape Canaveral, FL and Patricia Dunworth of Poestenkill, NY; his sister-in-law Adelaide Chartrand; his children, Alahna Pacifico (Jason Houk) of Harrodsburg, KY, William Jr. (Billy), Michael (Lori) of Kathleen, GA and Ondria Mello (Jason) of Hanford, CA; his stepsons, Martin Devine of Hanford, CA and Justin Devine of Hanford, CA.; his grandchildren, Christian Beale, Frederick, Acacia, Tanner Chartrand, Alexis Sousa (Johnny), Madison, Johnathan, Bailey Mello, Kylie, Aiden and Jace Devine; and his great grandchildren, Jayce, Oliver Chartrand, Maverick Gutierrez, Sid Cruz and Samuel Sousa. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
