He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Cornelius Duyst and Hattie Duyst; his wife Margaret Stryd; his children, Alan (Clare) and Terri (Lynn); and his grandchildren, Joel, Jordan, Ashley, Emily, Grace, Julia and Lydia. He was also cherished by nine great grandchildren.
