He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion "Bud" Taber and Leda Viola Taber (Tanner); his siblings, Viola Hallam, Freeman Taber and Marion Taber; his son Michael Scott Taber; and his pets, Clyde, Cinder and Captain Jack.

He is survived by: his son Jeff; his wife Joyce of Hanford; his daughter-in-law Ruthie Taber; his grandson Cole Taber of Hanford; his sister Rosemary Baldwin of Mesa, AZ; and his grandsons, Juwuane and Jupri Hughes. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and good friends.
