Don Thornton Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 26, 2021, at the age of 91, Don Thornton (Hanford, California) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vance Godfrey Thornton Sr. and Myrtle Viola Thornton (Wright); his siblings, Viola, Bernice, Ruth, John and Charlene; his sons, Don Jr., Doug, Robert and David; his brother Vance Jr.; his son Douglas; his wife June Thornton; his sister Dolly Blackburn; and his daughter Christine Wilkins. He was also cherished by fourteen grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren.
Even though he was separated from family during the pandemic, he still enjoyed frequent phone calls with June; which were reminiscent of their early dating and marriage years.
