She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvis Irwin and Mary Loretta Griffin; her husband Tony Mello; her son Eddie; her grandchild Frankie III; and her brothers, Chester and Joe.
She is survived by: her children, Laura Rocha-Vaz of Hanford, CA, Ronnie Barnes of Houston and Terry Barnes of Lumberton; and her siblings, Rosie Griffin of Walters, Peggy Pearson of Hat Creek, California and Walter Griffin of Stonewall, Oklahoma. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
