He was predeceased by: his parents, Elsie Donovan of Middletown and John Donovan of Middletown; and his sisters, Theresa Daneman and Virginia Gottlieb. He is survived by: his siblings, Kevin Donovan of Mt, Charlie Donovan (Kathy) of Hazlet, Dorothy Donovan (Mike Riordan) of Hazlet, Marguerite Donovan of Middletown, Cecelia Donovan of Middletown and Maureen Gregston (Randy) of Middletown; and his significant other Laura Zacceo of Guerneville. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
