She was predeceased by: her parents, Elwin Mittlestaedt and Marie Mittlestaedt; and her brother Raymond. She is survived by: her siblings, John, Elaine Geurtler (Pat), Harold and Helen; her husband James Clifford Karg; and her daughters, Ann Marie Stevenson (Dan), Ruth Henderson (Dale), April Monteirth (Craig) and Ginell Bradley (Ryan). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
She liked to sell her blankets at the hospital gift shop and then would donate the money she made toward scholarships for nursing students.
