He was loved and cherished by many people including: his former wife Judith Ellen O'Neill; his children, Pamela Meyerhoff (Claude), Jeffery Sabey (Tanya), Andrew Sabey (Erin) and Deborah Lynn Sabey; his stepdaughters, Ann King (Tracy) and K. Ellen Spencer; and his grandchildren, Julia, Reed, Aviva, Yardena, Chloe, Cosette and Robert.
