She was predeceased by: her parents, Katherine Luise Striffler Buchanan and Earl McKinley Buchanan; her husband William Albert Lester (Bill); and her brothers, Charles Frederick Buchanan and James Striffler Buchanan.
She is survived by: her daughter Susan Lester (Nevada City). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and several close friends.
