“I recently purchased a book at Beers Books in Sacramento with Mr. Allison's bookplate in it. Reading it, I was struck that the passages he underlined were the same lines I would have underlined. His interest in the author's thoughts (Simone de Beauvoir) show that he was clearly a curious man and from what I've read about him, he was interesting and highly intelligent. In other words, his was a genuine loss. My condolences.”
