He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Boettcher Matteson and Floyd Matteson; and his brothers, Bill, Harvey, Luke and Maurice.
He is survived by: his great-grandparent Grand; his daughters, Lori Flanders (Dan) and Shaun Burnette (Bryan) of Oregon; his great grandchild Danelle Clark; and his siblings, Donna McFarland and Byron. He is also survived by his two stepchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and some very dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in memory of John.
