She was predeceased by: her husband Marven Glenn Carter; and her son Scott Duante Carter. She is survived by: her children, Sonja Dee Carter-Acosta and Stephen Eric Carter; her grandchildren, Marty Carter, Ace Carter, John Acosta, Dillon Carter, Trisha Carter, Brian Mellon, Merriah Carter and Nathanael Carter; and her great grandchildren, Jacob Carter, Noah Carter, Christopher Carter and Elleanor Carter.
