He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Quintanar and Eva Quintanar; and his siblings, Raul Quintanar and Olga Calderon. He is survived by: his wife Alicia Quintanar; his daughters, Angelica Quintanar and Claudia Martinez; his son-in-law Daniel Martinez; and his grandsons, Kaleb Martinez and Mason Martinez. He is also survived by his brothers, sister and many nieces and nephews.
