He was predeceased by: his mother Rita; his daughter Jennie Lugo; his grandchildren, Israel Lugo, Cassandra Chavez, William "Boy" Munoz and David Perez; his nephew Gilbert "Pelon" Saldana; and his niece Mona Guerra.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Madrid; his children, Joel Madrid (Juliana), John Chavez of Gilroy, Keith Chavez of Texas, Doreen Aguirre, Beckie Beltran of San Jose and Ruthie Beltran of Morgan Hill; and his brother Tony Perez (Mary Ellen) of Gilroy. He is also survived by Grandchildren (39), great grandchildren (65), great-great grandchildren (3), many nieces, nephews and cousins.
