He was predeceased by: his son Robert Dale Shimizu; and his sister Toshie Fujita. He is survived by: his wife Lily Shimizu; his children, Richard Shimizu (Cynthia) and Miki Hartung (Glen); his granddaughters, Kaitlyn Shimizu, Elise Manfre (Chris) and Stacy Hartung; and his great grandchild Eliana Manfre. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
