He was predeceased by: his wife Tamiko "Nancy" Nakata. He is survived by: his daughters, Debbie and Christine; his siblings, May Nakata and Shoji Nakata (Yoshiko); and his brother-in-law Takashi Yanagi. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and relatives.
