He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Schouten and Agatha Schouten; and his brother Cornelius Schouten. He is survived by: his children, John Jr. (Denise), Cynthia Kammeyer (Ron), Therese Benge (Clinton), Steven (Teri), Julie Perkins (Harry), Gregory and Angela; his grandchildren, Matthew, Nicole Schouten, Danny (Heather), Sondra Hollingsworth, Jessica Boggs (Vern), Nathan (Hillary), Seth (Heather), Ethan Benge (Brittany), Hannah Mayes (Daniel), Gabriella Perez (Christian), Anya Taylor (Randy), Elijah, William Benge, Sinead Brooks (Teyvon), Steven Schouten (Naomi), Ashley Hernandez (Martin), Joshua (Madeleine), Andrew, Jacob (Becky), Justin (Molly), Kaleb, Dominic, Joseph, Elizabeth and Maxmillian Perkins; and his siblings, Nick Schouten, Trudie, Marie, Agnes, Pete, Tom, Dorothy, Roni, Bob and Mike. He is also survived by ses his wife, children and their spouses, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Miller-Jones Mortuary & Crematory (165 W 7th St, San Jacinto, CA 92583). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church (630 S Santa Fe Ave, San Jacinto, CA 92583). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the San Jacinto Valley Cemetery (2555 S Santa Fe Ave, San Jacinto, CA 92583). A reception will be held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Valley Wide (901 W Esplanade Ave, San Jacinto, CA 92583).
