She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Christine "Qris" Yamashita (Chris Komai), George Yamashita (Julie) and Richard Yamashita (Joyce); her grandsons, Andy, Sam and Mark Yamashita; her parents, Eikichi Arikawa and Haru Arikawa; and her spouse Sakan Sam Yamashita. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and relatives.
